Anyone who serves Rochas has no business- meaning in 2019 – Onyeagbako

A political chieftain in Imo State, and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship hopeful for 2019, Chief Barr. Charles Chinedum Onyeagbako has called on those who by one way or the other had served or still serving in the present Imo state government led by Governor Rochas Anayo Okorocha, but are nursing political ambition for elective positions, to drop such ambition, because they do not possess the moral courage to challenge the activities of the government, they were part of.
The legal luminary and a successful business man, Barr. Charles Onyeagbako gave the admonition while addressing members of his Governorship campaign organization, known as “Divine Mandate Team” during an interactive meeting on the 15th of April, 2018 at his instance in his country home, Okwu uratta in owerri North Local government area of Imo state.
The governorship hopeful no doubt appeared focused and full of high spirit that indicated he was  mentally prepared to executive his political ambition which from all indications was attributed to a divine calling to the people of Imo state in this capacity, having identified what he referred as poor governance of the incumbent administration in the state assured the people of the state that he posses the  political will and pedigree to give answers to the problems confronting the citizens and the state if elected as a governor of the state come 2019.
Known for his outstanding attribute to speak up when things are going the wrong direction, therefore cautioned those that have served or are still serving in the present state government, to drop such ambition, because they do not have the moral courage to confront the governor or hold him accountable, hence they were part of the government.
His words, “Anyone who has had anything to do with this government, has no business running for election in 2019”, he submitted.
Speaking further, the former executive chairman of owerri North Local government council also a former commissioner of Lands and survey in the state, recalled that he was the only LGA Chairman that used counterpart funding to execute the projects in the council, paid workers salaries of 13 months that were in arrears before he assumed the office ,noting that, for the 3years he served in that capacity, he appreciated the financial status of the council as well as made the workers better because they were receiving their salaries as at when due and the council were very vibrant because of numerous projects he carried out in the various villages across the LGA, including the establishment of the customary court within the three years period he was in the office.
He stressed said that the counterpart funding in partnership with an international organization enabled him to executive effective projects across the council, and noted that part of the funding was used to procure medical drugs for the treatment of those who were suffering from tuberculosis and leprosy diseases.
He assured of better days ahead for the people of the state if he was elected as the next governor of the state in 2019, even as he also charged his campaign team to not to lose any sleep about any unforeseen obstacle on the way, but to work hard towards achieving the objective, such that if elected in 2019, the state will get back to redemption.
He promised that his administration will run programmes that have direct bearing to meet the aspiration of the people.
To make that work, if elected, his government would establish a collegiate system of government, that will  comprise of people with diverse disciplines, technocrats, experts that will create enabling environment  to discuss matters at the public domain before government will approve  of it.
Though, he admitted there are a lot of garments of problems in the state, but assured the Imo people that he has the answer to the problems according to God’s revelation to him via his divine mandate. His words, “we need a Governor who will have a listening ear, who will say, I’m sorry whenever he has gone the wrong way, and not a man who gloats over every action he took.”
