Araraume wrong to talk about Okigwe Gov – Onwa Mbano

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Emeka Ibeh, popularly known as Onwa Mbano has come hard on a front line governorship aspirant in Imo state ,Senator Ifeanyi Araraume by criticising him for insisting on governor of the state in 2019 from Okigwe zone.

According to Ibeh, the ex-senator is the wrong person to campaign for an Okigwe zone governor in 2019 or thereafter when he was the person who played major role in Okigwe zone loosing the governorship seat of the state in 2011.

Ibeh, who posited that Araraume lacked the moral and legal justifications to be talking about Okigwe Zone completing its tenure ,alleged that the Ishiebu strong politician was the campaign-in-chief in truncating former Governor Ikedi Ohakim’s tenure.

He said that if Araraume had believed in Okigwe zone governorship project, he would have supported his brother, Ohakim, to serve out his second tenure seven years ago.

Ibeh asserted that whenever Araraume talks about Okigwe Zone governor, he is simply talking about himself taking hold of power not that he will support any other person from the zone to be the chief occupant of Douglas House.

Saying that history would not remember Araraume in good light for being self ostentatious to the detriment of Okigwe zone governor between 2007 and 2011, Ibeh, insisted that the people of the state will not succumb to the political sentiment of Okigwe zone completing its tenure.

The APC chieftain explained that what the state needs is a governor who will expand the economy of the state, drive development across the three zones of the state, create massive youth employment opportunities for the jobless youths.

Ibeh, noted that with the high level of academic and political awareness of the people of the state, capacity, managerial prowess ,ability to drive investment home and administrative excellence cannot be sacrificed on the alter of jaundiced zoning sentiment.
