Ndigbo Love And Admire President Tinubu And Shall Vote Massively For Him In 2027
I have seen a few pictures of some miscreants displaying the flags and colours of the defunct Biafra Republic in the UK, claiming to be members of the IPOB. For the likelihood that many people might misunderstand these miscreants to be advancing the Igbo agenda or assume that they have the support or endorsement of even the smallest fraction of Ndigbo, I wish to – as a critical leader of the Igbo nation, having served as the Second Most Important Igbo youth, worldwide, as the Deputy Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide – Youth Wing – make the following clarifications:
- The IPOB is not Igbo and does not represent the Igbo people in any way or capacity. IPOB is a proscribed in Nigeria as a terrorist organisation and deregistered in the UK and the USA as a company owned by one man, as a result of its illegal activities. There are many legitimate and recognised groups and organisations that could speak for and represent Ndigbo, topmost of which is the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is loved, admired and hugely respected by Ndigbo from across the length and breadth of Nigeria and beyond, and the President and the APC can be assured of the majority of all votes of the Southeast in 2027.
- Ndigbo are not Biafrans, but Igbos of Nigeria. We believe, without any iota of regret or reluctance, in Nigeria’s indivisibility and oneness and we shall continue to uphold the legacies of great Igbo sons and daughters like Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Michael Okpara, etc, who dedicated their lives, intellect and talents to advancing the best interests of Nigeria and working assiduously for its unity.
- President Tinubu should ignore the noise and whimpers of a very insignificant minority in Alaigbo who have access to the social media and use same to ventilate their personal grievances and selfish interests, true Igbo sons and daughters are appreciative of the President’s transformative vision, and shall demonstrate that on the ballot in January 2027.
- Igbos in the United Kingdom, as with every other place you find them in the world, are responsible and law-abiding residents of these countries and they could not have abandoned their places of work and businesses to embark on any senseless demonstration against the President. These individuals who bore those placards are jobless miscreants, most of whom are illegal residents without jobs or even any legitimacy to reside in the UK.
- The Nigerian Federal Government should, going forward, only take seriously, statements from the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Southeast Governors’ Forum, and the Southeast Caucus of the National Assembly as the only groups with the mandate to speak for Ndigbo.
