Lagosians Backed Peter Obi As The Most Excellent Of The Bunch, Not Tribe -Rhodes – Vivour

Lagos is speaking through its votes, and Gbadebo Rhodes‑Vivour isn’t holding back in telling it like it is!

The ADC politician has revealed that Lagosians supported Peter Obi in 2023 not because of tribe or ethnicity, but because they recognised excellence.

According to Rhodes‑Vivour, Lagos is a uniquely cosmopolitan state where merit and competence outweigh identity politics. “Lagos is extremely unique and excellence does not care where you are from,” he said. “Lagosians chose Peter Obi overwhelmingly because they saw an excellent man—at least the most excellent of the bunch.”

Rhodes‑Vivour argued that if violence, intimidation, and election malpractice had been removed from the picture, Obi’s margin would have been far bigger. He also slammed current conditions in Lagos, pointing to demolition campaigns, rising costs, and economic hardship as evidence that the ruling party has failed to deliver on its promises. “Lagosians are facing an even worse reality now,” he warned, hinting that voters may never forgive leaders who betray public trust.

For Rhodes‑Vivour, the debate isn’t about tribe or religion—it’s about competence, character, and leadership. Lagosians, he says, will always back those who deliver excellence.
