
“Our innovations, repositioning company”
The Managing Director,MD of Imo Transport Company,ITC, Uche Obiozor has disclosed that the revenue of the company is being digitalized with brand new vehicles brought in to reposition the outfit for effective service delivery.
Obiozor hinted, weekend in Owerri, that the company has opened new units such as the Orji Flyover unit, in order to further expand its operations.
The ITC boss also disclosed that the digitalization of the revenue of the company and the injection of new and sound vehicles as well as opening up new units where people can board the company’s buses, were part of innovations designed to reposition the company as the foremost state-owned transport company in Nigeria.
Obiozor also revealed that the vehicles that were brought in so far under his watch, were
screened to see that they were sound, new vehicles, adding that the state government bought some of the new vehicles, while the company had to put up advert for individuals to bring in vehicles on franchise.
Speaking further, the ITC helmsman disclosed that he constituted a disciplinary committee that according to him, weeded out alleged ghost workers, while the ongoing digitalization process according to him, was targeted at checking fraudulent activities in the company’s revenue.
He noted that he had to do assessment of the state of affairs in the company to arrive at the innovations being introduced.
