The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere,, has joined millions of concerned citizens across the 27 LGAs of the state in fervent prayers for the safe return and freedom of all abducted sons and daughters of the state.
The Ex-Imo Deputy Governor made this passionate appeal while expressing deep concern over the rising cases of kidnapping in the state, including the most recent abduction of Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, a former member of the Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA, from the Okigwe Zone.
Hon Ogbu was reported to have been seized by suspected bandits, according to viral videos on social media.
Prince Madumere earnestly called on God for divine intervention and urged all security agencies to intensify their efforts to ensure the immediate and unharmed release of everyone still held captive.
He emphasized the heartbreaking situation of Hon. Ogbu, whose beloved mother’s remains currently lie in the morgue, awaiting proper burial.
The respected statesman further expressed that the abduction of many known and unknown members of the public is a tragic reminder of the urgent need for unity, vigilance, and collective action in the state
He appealed to the people of Imo State to remain steadfast in prayer and support the proactive security agencies working tirelessly to combat criminality.
“Let us continue to fervently pray and support our security operatives as they strive to bring our brother, Hon. Ogbu, and all other abducted individuals back to their various families and the people they serve,” Prince Madumere stated.
He also expressively urged the entire Imo populace to keep every abducted person in their prayers, asking God to use the proactive security agencies to rescue all those kidnapped by bandits so that they may regain their respective freedom without further harm and traumer .
