In a show of solidarity, the Mbaike Consultative Assembly and Coalition of Mbaitoli Progressive Leaders has thrown its support behind Dr. Chima Amadi’s bid for the 2027 Imo State governorship elections.

During a press briefing, Sunday at the State Office of The Mazi Organization(TMO) in Owerri, the Forum, representing the 63 autonomous communities and 24 INEC Wards in Mbaike, expressed its utmost believe that Dr. Amadi’s leadership as Imo Governor would usher in much-needed transformation to every sector of the state.

Speaking, the National President of Consultative Assembly and Coalition, Amb. Steve Nnadi, noted that Dr. Amadi’s vision for Imo State’s future is compelling, adding that after careful consideration of potential aspirants, they concluded that Amadi’s qualifications, experience, and commitment to public service make him the ideal man for Imo State.

“After thorough, but unbiased evaluation and assessment of Imo sons and daughters across the 3 Senatorial Zones who have indicated interest to govern Imo State at the expiration of the APC administration, Mbaike Consultative Assembly and Coalition of Mbaitoli Progressive Leaders, have found Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi PhD, eminently qualified and suitably positioned to redress the regrets of Ndi Imo via the ballot box in 2027.

“It is on this premise that we are gathered here today to accord our unflinching support and endorse Mazi Chima Amadi as our best foot forward with a new deal to preside over the affairs of the state come 2027.

“In view of his pedigree, antecedent, education, experience, expertise and capacity to deliver at all times, all members of Mbaike Consultative Assembly, as well as Coalition of Mbaitoli Progressive Leaders, hereby subsume into the formidable – The Mazi Organization, TMO”, the group stressed.

The group frowned at the current  state of governance in Imo, citing years of stagnation and inefficiency, but expressed optimism  that Dr. Amadi’s leadership can turn things around and improve the lives of citizens

“The governance of Imo State has been contrived in mixedbag: a slow motion in the overall development right from the administrations of Chief Achike Udenwa, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and currently Senator Hope Uzodimma. Imo has not had it so good in all ramifications”, the forum pointed out.

In his speech , the Director General of The Mazi Organization (TMO), Chief Henry Onwukwe, (Apiti) praised  Amadi’s leadership skills, intellectual capacity, and social awareness.

He reiterated that Amadi has the potential to restore Imo State’s former glory and address the economic, social, and political challenges facing the state.

Onwukwe urged the Mbaike Consultative Assembly and the Coalition of Mbaitoli Progressive Leaders to remain dedicated to TMO, asserting that their efforts toward liberating Imo State would yield positive outcomes.

The Director General lamented the misuse and mismanagement of the substantial Federal Allocations and Internally Generated Revenue allocated to Imo state, which, he said, have contributed to widespread poverty and suffering among the populace.

Other leaders of TMO present at the event were Comr Obioma Onwuegbucha, State Coordinator of TMO, Sir Dennis Tochukwu Nneji (Egbe), TMO Owerri West Coordinator and Engr. Henry Obiako
