A group known as Isiala Mbano United Youths have come out staunchly in support of the Member representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency in the House Representatives Princess Miriam Onuoha (Nwanyi wu Ihie), in her bid to return to the House in 2027.
The group has also condemned what they deemed unwarranted attack on Princess Miriam Onuoha by Okigwe Youth Mandate, trying to stop her from re-contesting to return to the House of Representatives in 2027.
In a release by Isiala Mbano United Youths, signed by its Chairman Comrade Ikechukwu Ndubuisi and its Secretary Comrade Stanley Chibuike Iwuoha, the group stated that Princess Miriam Onuoha has represented Okigwe North Federal Constituency very well that she deserves another tenure as she so desires.
They insisted that as their sister and daughter from Isiala Mbano, that they are proud of her brilliant, effective and sound representation, which has earned her top positions in the House, through which she has attracted several important projects to the Federal Constituency.
The release read: ” Our attention has been drawn to the unwarranted attack on our sister and daughter Princess Miriam Onuoha by the Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate, attempting to stop her genuine and legitimate desire to return to the House of Representatives in 2027.
“We, therefore, warn the Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate to leave Princess Miriam Onuoha alone, as her representation in the House is well cherished by our people of Okigwe North Federal Constituency because she has put up very brilliant, effective and sound representation, which has earned her top positions in the House, with which she has been able to attract important projects to our Federal Constituency.
“We take exception to the insinuation by Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate that Princess Miriam Onuoha and Isiala Mbano are denying the people of Onuimo their turn to represent our Federal Constituency in 2027. In the first instance, it is insulting to Isiala Mbano and again, it is maligning to Princess Onuoha, who is exercising her constitutional right to go back to the House, having effectively represented her people.
“There have been instances of those who returned to the Parliament several times, going by their sound representation of their people, irrespective of what arrangements on ground in their Federal Constituencies.
“The Chief of Staff to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, represented his Federal Constituency in Surulere, Lagos not less than six consecutive times and became the Speaker of the House of Representatives and today he is Chief of Staff to Mr. President.
“We also want to disabuse the minds of our good people of Okigwe North Federal Constituency from the insinuation by Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate that Princess Miriam Onuoha is desperate to return to the House of Representatives. Our Amazon and well cherished Representative is by no means desperate about her desire to return to the House in 2027. Rather her desire is driven by her sound representation and great achievements she has been able to make while representing us in the House.
“Invariably, therefore, Princess Onuoha is not denying anyone or any people their right of representation but rather exercising her legitimate right to seek her people’s mandate to go back in order to continue her sound and effective representation of her people at the House of Representatives.
“We, therefore, warn the Okigwe Zone Youth Mandate or any other group or persons to leave Princess Miriam Onuoha alone to exercise her legitimate right to return to the House of Representatives, come 2027.”
