Tinubu’s 2-Years  : Nigerians Score President Low, Flay Untold Hardship, Insecurity, Corruption.

“We never had a worse president”

The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu which clocked two years yesterday, May 29, has come under hard scrutiny with many Nigerians blaming the president’s All Progressives Congress, APC, administration for the astronomical rise in fuel price which culminates in ever-rising food prices, high cost of  goods and services, and the prevailing hardship in the country.

Although the Tinubu administration through its officials, has remained apparently unmoved by insisting that the government has done well over the last two years.

Many Nigerians however, flayed the Tinubu administration for the escalating insecurity across the country and the resultant reported increase in loss of lives and property of citizens including  high level of corruption among the leaders.

A veteran journalist, columnist and former editor of Vanguard, Thisday and New Age newspapers, Comr. Steve Osuji opined that under the Tinubu-led federal government, the situation of things in the country has degenerated from bad to worse.

Expressing his views yesterday in his Expresso column, Osuji blamed  Tinubu for allegedly for ‘toying’ with fuel price through unplanned subsidy removal, which according to him, negatively robbed off on the country’s economy.

“Two years on, Nigeria is almost 100 percent worse than Tinubu met it. But strangely, he doesn’t seem to be aware of the situation or the realities of his current environment,” Osuji opined.

He recalled that the president had promised to drop the price of fuel, but allegedly did the  reverse, “jerking it up to the sky on his first day in office…”

Osuji went further to score President Tinubu low on the issue of the fight against corruption, adding that power generation has allegedly not gone beyond where ex-president Goodluck Jonathan left it.

The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, on the other hand, reportedly described President Tinubu’s two years in office as “one of the worst in Nigeria’s history.”

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Coalition’s National Spokesperson, Comrade Mark Adebayo, to mark the second anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration, which began on May 29, 2023.

Nigerians flayed  the president’s seeming inability to fulfill his campaign promises with the soaring prices of fuel, food, commodities and overall high cost of living.

Tinubu ‘s Two Years,Worst On Nigeria’s History.

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s two years in office as the worst period in Nigeria’s history since independence in 1960.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Coalition’s National Spokesperson, Comrade Mark Adebayo, to mark the second anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration, which began on May 29, 2023.

CUPP noted,  “Two years ago, severe hunger came to town in Nigeria through President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Governance, in its most inhumane form, ascended the throne. Insecurity worsened, youth unemployment skyrocketed, and the number of out-of-school children rose from 20 million to nearly 40 million. Inflation has surged to over 36%…”

The group further decried the deteriorating security situation, saying “People in Benue, Plateau, and other parts of the country are being slaughtered daily by an invading army of terrorists, killer herdsmen, and kidnappers. Even Abuja, the nation’s capital, is not safe from these predators.”

CUPP also took a swipe at the president over the healthcare system: “Our medical institutions have collapsed. They are worse than consulting clinics, and the common people bear the brunt. Meanwhile, the president and his cabinet continue to travel abroad for medical treatment.”

The group  equally accused President Tinubu of abandoning governance to focus prematurely on securing a second term in office.
