Lady Rosemary Ezinna Nwachukwu, the wife of the Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area, recently hosted a Children’s Day celebration at the Council Headquarters. The event was well-attended by children from the area, who were treated to a fun-filled day of activities.
The key highlights of the Celebration are:
English Language Skills, Lady Nwachukwu educated the children on how to pronounce everyday English words and their meanings, aiming to improve their language skills.
She also emphasized the significance of reading and studying between lines to equip themselves for future academic pursuits. Saying that empowering the next generation; the celebration was designed to inspire and motivate the children to develop a love for learning and self-improvement.
“It’s worth noting that Children’s Day celebrations are an essential part of promoting children’s welfare and education in Nigeria, typically observed on May 27th.”
The Chairperson’s message to the pupils emphasized key values for their development and well-being. She encouraged them to be obedient to their parents and teachers, highlighting the importance of focus and discipline in their lives. Additionally, she advised the girl child on the importance of dressing modestly to avoid unwanted attention and potential harm, emphasizing their role as future mothers.

“This message was likely intended to inspire and guide the children as they grow and develop, with a focus on values and behaviors that can shape their futures positively” Lady Nwachukwu noted.
The Chairperson as well, advised the children on the importance of faith and spiritual growth. She encouraged them to believe and follow God’s words, and to cultivate a strong prayer life, seeking wisdom from God. This, she said, is essential for success in life.
The highlight of the event was fun moments: the celebration featured joyful moments, including the Chairperson dancing with the children, cutting cake, and distributing gifts.
