The executive Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema LGA, Hon.Marcel Amadioha has attributed the successful hosting of the Children Day Celebration in the Council Headquarters as a sign that peace has finally come to stay in the area.
The chairman made the assertion while addressing Ohaji Egbema Practicing Journalists at the Council Headquarters in commemoration of this year’s children’s day.
The Council Boss narrated that in few years back the event was marked in a low key owning to insecurity but was excited that there is significant improvement with elaborate celebration of this year’s event celebration.
In his message to the Children, he advised them to be focused with their academics assuring that the Council in collaboration with the State Government is making the welfare of the children its top priority.
The Chairman pointed out that there is always an atmosphere of joy amongst children whenever they come together to exchange pleasantries, promising that next year’s event would be more remarkable.
He maintained that the children are the future existence of the society and that all hands must be on deck for their upbringing to achieve a better and responsible society.
Amadioha charged parents and guidance to be mindful of their actions before their wards as they are their immediate friends and will always copy from them.
He also advised them to be a symbol of love and care to their children as a sure way of building confidence and comfort to them.
The Council Boss further used the occasion to encourage people of the council area to enroll in the ongoing health insurance scheme under the sponsorship of the State Government, adding that the scheme is for the overall benefits of the people with regards to their health.
