2027 Coalition : Peter Obi ReJects Atiku’s  VP  Slot,Says  Nigerians’ Welfare,His Primary Goal, Not  Position.

Anambra State  former governor and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has given  reasons why he disagreed with the camp of Atiku Abubakar over the proposed Vice President coalition deal. According to his statements which were shared by Vanguard , he pointed out the key reasons why he was interested in a coalition.

The news regarding the supposed coalition between former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and presidential aspirant of the Labour Party Peter Obi generated massive controversies after the reports surfaced online. Obi’s  camp was left disgruntled after it was reported that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had offered a Vice Presidential role for the coalition to succeed.

In his reaction , Obi in a recent statement  stated the reasons why he was interested in a coalition. According to  Obi, he was not after positions, neither was he after status as the sole aim of his ambition was the welfare of the people.

Speaking further, he pointed out that he was in coalition against hunger, and his mode of politics was not about seeking positions.

“I’m in coalition against hunger, a coalition against poverty, a coalition against ill health, politics for me is not about positions, it is about doing the right thing.

“Whatever you make of it (the report), I can tell you that, I Peter, have told you where I stand. I’m talking about the education of these children. I’m not talking about positions.” He said.
