Ndi Eze Ji Mbaise, Pays  Familiarization Visit To  Ezinihitte LG  Chairman

Ndi Ezeji Mbaise, led by Dr. Kachi Nwaoga, have paid a familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Hon. Nwachukwu Ambrose, in his office at the Council Headquarters, recently.

The special  visitors notified  the LGA boss  that the Iri Ji Mbaise cultural festival will hold in Ezinihitte on August 15.

 

Speaking,their  Leader, Nwaoga, expressed gratitude for the good work Hon.Nwachukwu is doing in Ezinihitte.

He added  that their visit is a mark of respect for the  leadership, recognizing the executive Chairman’s role, inclusiveness and collaboration which is potentially paving the way for cooperation between Ndi Ezeji Mbaise and the  LGA for the festival.

 

He appreciated Hon. Nwachukwu’s leadership style , stating that he has; earned applause, recognition for his efforts.

The policy he noted has brought development and contributed  to the progress and growth in Ezinihitte.

 

“This suggests that  Nwachukwu leadership is effective, yielding positive outcomes also valued by the communities”.

 

Lending his voice, Ezeji Dr. Dandy Atruchi Obani, expressed satisfaction with the recently concluded “Back to Farm” empowerment program.

 

He also  praised the chairman’s support for farmers, describing him  as a “friend of farmers”.

 

This suggests that the number one citizen of Ezinihitte LGA’s initiatives are benefiting farmers, providing support and empowerment, as well as building goodwill, earning appreciation and recognition from the communities.

 

Ndi Ezeji Mbaise regrettably  expressed concern about the  excessive influence, feeling of being  overshadowed or dominated by Ezuruezu Mbaise during the Iri Ji festival.

 

This feeling  he also stated brings   potential conflict or power struggle  between Ndi  Ezeji Mbaise and Ezuruezu Mbaise. They noted that the  Ndi Ezeji Mbaise are traditionally maint to have more control and recognition in the festival.

 

Responding on the issues tabled before him, Hon. Nwachukwu, commended them for their  visit thanking them for identifying with him, even as he  promised more support, informing them of the  upcoming agricultural empowerment initiatives for them.

 

The idea he explained  suggests his  commitment to agriculture development  and focus on

building good  relationships; strengthening ties with Ndi Ezeji and potentially other community groups.

 

Hon. Nwachukwu equally promised to foster collaboration and also to  work with other LGA bosses in Mbaise nation on the issues raised.

. He advocated for peace, cordiality, harmony and mutual relationship between Ndi Ezeji,  Ezuruezu Mbaise and Ndi Eze Mbaise.

The Ezinihitte boss, emphasized that the  aim is  to resolve conflicts,encourage unity, foster cooperation, promote harmony among different groups.

The Iri Ji Mbaise Cultural Festival is a significant event in Mbaise, celebrated annually  on every  August 15. It’s a time for the Mbaise people to come together and thank God for a bountiful yam harvest, showcasing their rich cultural heritage, unity, and community bonding.

Nwachukwu further, reminded them that by their position as Ezeji title holders they play  crucial roles in the festival.

He added that they are esteemed farmers who have demonstrated exceptional farming skills, particularly in yam cultivation.

Saying that they cultivate and harvest yams, showcase their farming prowess and lead in the  ceremonial activities; perform traditional rites and bless the new yam which symbolizes  wealth and prosperity.

He also  said that they  represent the community’s agricultural success because they grow and harvest more Yams than others.
