BIAFRA: I Created IPOB, Radio Biafra To Advocate Rights, Interests Of Igbos–Kanu

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on yesterday, told the Federal High Court in Abuja that he is the founder of both IPOB and Radio Biafra.

During the court session, Kanu explained that he created the pro-Biafra group and its online radio platform with the aim of advocating for the rights and interests of the Igbo people.

Dismissing claims that IPOB operates covertly, Kanu emphasized that his broadcasts on Radio Biafra were made publicly and were accessible to all via Facebook and other platforms.

“All my broadcasts were public. IPOB is not a secret group,” he told the court.

When asked by the Department of State Services (DSS) whether he worked with others, Kanu maintained that he operated independently and personally oversaw all Radio Biafra content. He denied having any collaborators in managing the group’s communication activities.

As part of the trial proceedings, the presiding judge ordered that a video recording of Kanu’s interrogation by the DSS be played in open court.
