China Roads: Ihedioha Blasts Imo Engineers, You Allowed Okorocha Destroy Imo Infrastructure In 8years …As Iwuanyanwu absorbs Buhari from Nigeria’s problems

Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha has blamed the member of NSE, especially those living in Imo for what he described as their lackadaisical approach in dealing with immediate past government of Rochas Okorocha as it concerns fake and substandard projects.
Governor Ihedioha said as people who occupy strategic position in the country, it beholds on them to monitor all projects, be it state or Federal, to ensure that such project meets all regulatory standards adding that failure to carry out this sensitive role, NSE may be putting the lives of all Nigerians in danger.
He described Chief Iwuanyanwu as a colossus who has contributed his quota in nation building, saying his contribution in youth training can never be forgotten.
In his address, the Imo State chairman, NSE, Engr. Luke O. Uzoigwe said the Annual Lecture Series will always bring to fore, the potentialities, exploit and ingenuity of the Nigerian Engineers and thus, create the necessary linkage between indigenous engineering innovation and industry.
Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has made it clear that Nigeria’s economic woes should not be heaped on the shoulders of President Muhammadu Buhari alone, but on all Nigerians who have indirectly failed in their duties as citizens of the country.
While speaking at the 4th edition of “Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Annual Lecture Series” organized by The Nigerian Society of Engineers NSE, held Thursday, at Ahiajoku Convention Center Owerri, Imo State, the elder statesman noted that any other person sworn in as President of Nigeria under the same system as Buhari will have similar problems to solve adding that “I feel that President Buhari and his team must at this point pause for a while, check on the journey so far from1999 and decide on the direction to move”.
The frontline politician stressed that there is a lot to be done to get Nigeria out of its present economic crisis but for a start, he appealed to both the Federal and State government to establish at least one industry in every Local Government in Nigeria. “These industries should be given to experts to manage. They should target essential goods for local consumption and goods for exports” he added.
He lamented on the high poverty rate that has taken over the country which he said, took heed from unemployment ratio that has skyrocketed over the years as a result of total neglect on the part of those in authority.
The topic of the 4th edition lecture as delivered by Prof. Remi Uche of the Federal University of Technology Owerri is “Re-awakening and Imbibing the Culture of Manufacturing Enterprise: Needful Drivers for Industrial Development in Nigeria”.
