Community dev. Ang. Bishop -Maduwuike hails Ogbuagu

The Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwuike has commended Amb. Uche Ogbuagu for his continued support to the diocese.
Bishop Maduwuike gave the commendation while presenting his presidential address at the Second Session of the Fourth Synod of the diocese. He said the election of Amb. Ogbuagu as the member representing Ikeduru State Constituency in the State House of Assembly is a blessing to the diocese in particular and Ikeduru in general.
He emphasized that the reason why God elevates people to positions of authority is to use such positions to improve the lives of the masses, but regretted that often, people in such positions use their positions to oppress the people and pursue selfish interests as against the protection of the interest of the common masses.
The prelate said the four months of representation of Amb. Uche Ogbuagu has restored hope and confidence among the people of Ikeduru, as well as bring about unprecedented infrastructural interventions in the counstituency. He listed the construction and state of the art furnishing of five classroom blocks named after the late Rt. Hon. Bethel Amadi at Akabo High School and financial and other sundry supports to the diocese as among the ways the diocese has benefited directly from Amb. Uche Ogbuagu.
He said the performance of Amb. Ogbuagu can best be described as a sincere and passionate effort to reciprocate the love Ikeduru people extended to him during his elections.
Bishop Maduwuike urged leaders in the country to emulate the patrotism of Amb. Uche Ogbuagu and ensure they use their privileged positions for the interest of the people.
Speaking on the theme, Finding Fulfillment in Christ, Bishop Maduike explained that real fulfillment can only be found in Christ. He admonished christians to desist from looking for fulfillment in mundane things like power, connections,money, food, drinks, etc, and focus on Christ from where real fulfillment comes from.
One of the highlights of the occassion was the launching of the presidential charge, where Amb. Uche Ogbuagu supported the Bishop with the sum of one million naira. The Archbishop of the ecclesistical province of Owerri, Archbishop Caleb Maduoma and other Bishops graced the occassion among other dignitaries.
