Land Probe: Okorocha fears to go to jail – Eze“Panicks over judicial commission of inquiry” …He ran bravado govt; Ihedioha is a democrat …Says: LG vehicles bought by due process

The Special Adviser to Governor Emeka Ihedioha on Local Governments, Chief Mayor Eze says the immediate past Imo helmsman, Senator Rochas Okorocha’s last Tuesday’s ‘rabble rousing’ in Owerri smacks of panicky measure arising from fear and uncertainty over what will be his fate by the time the Judicial Commission of Inquiry and other committees setup to investigate cases of land grabbing, contracts and other activities of his administration.

The Special Adviser who stated this weekend during an interaction with newsmen in Owerri, said Okorocha’s last week vituperations, irrelevant outburst and inciting attempt against Governor Ihedioha’s new administration was consistent with the former governor’s style of showmanship and uncalled for bravado rather than hide his face in shame especially, as he (Okorocha) allegedly failed to leave any legacy after a wasteful eight years.

Eze disclosed that the vehicles recently acquired by the local governments passed through due process. He revealed that every local government purchased its own vehicle not the governor nor his bureau.
He said the local governments Interim Management Committee never said vehicle bought by Okorocha administration noting that they were all looted. He also hinted that the turnaround work on all the stadia in the 27 LGAs of the state was consistent with Governor Ihedioha’s objective to develop sports and use it to engage youths meaningfully in the state. Eze also added that only LGAs who do not have stadium already should build new ones while advising Okorocha to hide his face in shame as according to him, the immediate past governor allegedly left no good road or building in a whole eight years.
Eze accused Okorocha of trying to blackmail the Rebuild government of Ihedioha using what he allegedly called ‘Okorocha’s mob mentality’ adding that the governor tolerated ‘the rubbish’ of Rochas because he (Ihedioha) remains a democrat.
“Okorocha never felt the days of reckoning will come, so that is why he is afraid of probe because he never governed well. His injustice is haunting him.
“Okorocha should stop this show of bravado, stop panicking but learn the democratic principles in the National Assembly in the few days he will be there, to refine his conduct and character”, Chief Eze advised.
