Brutality: Imo Ex-Commissioner invades Ahiazu Mbaise LG Chair’s home …Thugs beat up driver, security man, take vehicle away

Thugs suspected to be cultists last Sunday , attacked the executive chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Governnment Area, Chief Adauctus Onunoha and forcefully took away his official vehicle to an unknown destination.
A statement signed by the Executive Vice Chairman of the Ahiazu LGA, Hon Mrs Salome Onuoha and 13 other appointees of the LGA, alleged that a former commissioner in Governor Rochas Okorocha’s cabinet, Mr Chidi Ibe was implicated in the alleged attack.
The statement also indicates that the Ahiazu Mbaise LGA boss personal driver and police orderly were allegedly “ overpowered and mercilessly beaten up and until now the vehicle has not been recovered “.
Continuing , Ahiazu political appointees equally hinted that “ valuables including cash jewelry and cell phones were violently taken away from the aides and family of the executive chairman”. The appointees therefore condemned the said attack on Chief Onuoha describing it as reprehensible, primitive , unacceptable and wicked.
They also called on Ibe to return the official vehicle of the chairman allegedly taken away forcefully including all the valuables allegedly taken away from his family members and aides.
While insisting that the alleged brigandage must not be allowed to stand, Ahiazu political appointees called on Governor Okorocha and Uche Nwosu to discontinue any political dealings with those involved in the ugly incident. They called on the police to revoke what they diseclosed was the bail granted Mr. Ibe on April 14,2019.
They also want Ibe to be held accountable for anything that happenens to Chief Onuaha, his family ,aids, councillors and piltical appointees of Ahiazu LGA.
Meanwhile the leadership of Ahiazu Mbaise Legislative council has disassociated itself from a petition “purported to have emanated from the councillors of Ahiazu Mbaise LGA against the Executive Chairman, Chief Adauctus Onuoha. A disclaimer to that effect signed by Hon Richard Onyeulor, Hon Nkechi Obom (Deputy Leader) Hon Patrick Okoro (majority Leader) and Hon Agbaizu Chukwu, urged the House of Assembly Committee in Local Government to disregard and throw away the petition which they alleged is fake, adding that the House should conduct investigation into the origin of the document and how it was brought to the House.
They are also calling on the state Assembly to summon the signatories to the petition to ascertain if they truly were the signatories.
