Re- run election: We don’t plan to bomb polling units, says APC candidate

The candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC for Ikeduru State Constituency seat in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Ifeanyi Opara has denied plotting to bomb polling units in the council during Saturday’s re-run election.

The APC candidate, Mr Ifeanyi Opara, who denied the allegation in the state capital owerri while briefing the media, added that as true and patriotic indigene of Ikeduru who is poised to serve the people, it was unthinkable for him to contemplate such adding that it was the handiwork of his opponent’s.

Mr Opara insisted he is peace loving man who has no iota of questionable character, pointing out that he is for peaceful exercise in the council.

He stated that he remains the APC Candidate for the election even as he promised to represent his people in ikeduru state constituency to the best of his ability if voted into office.

He described himself as a gentleman and also a business man who has empowered thousands of youths and women’s in his constituency over the years.

He reiterated that he can never ever indulge in plotting to bomb polling units wondering why any sane person will plan to kill the electorate he is wishing to represent.

Speaking further he noted that since a political era his opponents are trying so hard to tanish his image by trying to brand him a killer.

He called on security agencies and INEC to ensure the safety and security of voters in ikeduru re – run polls, boasting that he win with wide margin.

He also called for sanctioning of My Radio over allegations of peddling false information.
