Buhari’s Imo comment, not anti -party -Lawal

The recent declaration by president Mohammadu Buhari during his last visit to Imo state on the 29th. Jan.2019 has continued to attract comments from piticians across board.The vice-chairman,Owerri municipal council Hon. Fascil Lawal while interacting with Journalists at Owerri described the President as a man who does not discriminate against accusations that his policies and programmes are discriminative.
Hon.Lawal stated that the import of that message means that ethnicity should not count in choosing leaders. It would be recalled that PMB who came to flag off his 2nd.term bid during Imo APC guber 2019 flag- off in Owerri urged APC chieftains/Supporters to feel free and choose any person of their choice in any elective positions at this coming 2019 polls.
The vice- chairman who is one of the moslem community leaders in IMO state observed that PMB came in dual capacity, one as our president then the other as APC flag bearer.He explained that the late arrival of president Buhari to the stadium was due to his inspection of what Owelle and the Rescue mission had achieved in Imo.He described those who left before President’s arrival as hired crowd.
The municipal chairman used the opportunity to address some issues in the state such as the welfare of moslem coppers who scamper at Owerri central mosque and the perennial flooding of some roads in the municipal.
Chief Lawal disclosed that the local govt plans to set up Revenue Task force in the ads to boast internally generated revenue.He said he now mans the seat of Supervisory Councilor for Transport,Housing,Trade and Investments.He charged the masses to cooperate with the govt as days ahead looks bright.
