Nwulu pays N10m medical bills for indigent patients at FMC

The United Peoples Party governorship candidate in Imo State, Hon. Tony Nwulu, weekend, visited the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owerri, to interact with some patients in order to ascertain their health conditions.
Also, some of the patients who have been long discharged from the hospital, over six months who could not leave the hospital premises due to their inability to pay their bills were favoured at the visitation.
A patient, Mrs. Ikechi Chinwedu, whose bill of N750,000, was also cleared by Nwulu after she delivered her triplets, through caesarean section (CS), was filled with ecstasy over the benevolence of Nwulu. The patient thanked the latter and asked God to bless him abundantly. Another patient, Mrs Isaa Joy from Edo State described Tony Nwulu as a gift from God and one on a divine mission to bring good leadership in the state.
Speaking to journalists on what prompted him to carry out the exercise, Hon. Nwulu disclosed that part of God’s commandment is to assist the poor and needy in the society, noting that his government if elected in 2019 will focus on health care delivery.
Hear him, “we shall review the old guidelines for the delivery of primary health care service in all the LGAs in the state”.
Contributing, the deputy governorship candidate of UPP, Dr. Nnaemeka Obiareri stated that Imo State would be returned to an economically viable state, where the health care system would be tenaciously received, pointing out that voting Tony Nwulu as governor would guarantee a perfect governance in 2019.
In the same spirit, the Director General, Mezie Imo Campaign Organization, Comr. Kelechi Chukwu explained that patients with cases like phototherapy and jaundice, including premature delivery incurred the highest debts due to their long stay in the hospital, adding that the same gesture was extended to patients at the Imo Teaching Hospital early last week.
