Business mogul and former Minister of Interior, Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho has denied nursing any governorship ambition for Imo Government House ahead of the 2019 general elections.
A statement by the media aide to the 2015 governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Imo state, said the attention of Captain Ihenacho has been drawn to
gubernatorial campaign posters reportedly passed around Owerri and Imo State bearing the former minister’s photograph suggesting an intention to declare or contest the Imo gubernatorial seat in 2019.
He said that those behind the mischievous act were entirely on their own as Ihenacho has no intention of contesting any election in 2019.
“We urge the Imo State and o be the handiwork of people and/or parties intent on making mischief”, the statement read in part.

Ihenacho urged those behind the fake posters to join in what he called the genuine and currently on-going efforts to salvage the state in order to make Imo great again.
