2019: Okechukwu declares for Imo governorship

There are strong indication that the ranks of governorship hopefuls on the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA,     in the state has further swelled as a worthy son of Egbu, Owerri North LGA a socio-economic Researcher, a seasoned Architect and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Katalambano Nigeria Limited, Mr. Okechukwu Chukwuemeka last weekend declared his interest to contest Imo Guber on the party.
Mr. Chukeuemeka, who declared his intention to run for Imo governorship position in his ward, Egbu Owerri North LGA of, if elected he would take Imo State to a greater height by investing in human development and to creating value chain in industrialization, ensuring effective quality education and good of the state.
The aspirant assured that he would bring back the glory of the state, saying that the present government has failed Imo people, as he condemned the bad condition of the roads and high level of erosion in the state which he said is a worrisome issue together with the present economic hardship and many other challenges, promising that he would salvage Imolites from these menace.
He told his audience “I did not come out on my own, but it is God that called me out to rebuild the State and I have gone round all the LGAs in the State and discovered that this government have not done what is expected of them. He also reassured he would build good drainage in the state and in all the LGAs, stressing that quality roads is very important in the state and should not be over looked by any government.
The party BOT member Lady Ann Dozie, who reminded that “power is not given, but power is taken”, advised the aspirant on the need for him to work very harder in order to succeed in his governorship ambition. She also charged the LGA party chairman to carry all the exco and members along to ensure that the common interest of the party is achieved.
Hon. Ann, pointed out that APGA will provide level playing field for all the aspirants adding that the party’s primary election would be free, fair and transparent.
The declaration ceremony was witnessed by all the members of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA ward executives in Owerri North LGA led by Egbu ward chairman, Mr. Akujiobi Harrold,  as well as Vincent Amadi the LGA Chairman, among others personalities .
