APC fight, not in Imo people’s interest – Nneji

A leading All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship aspirant in Imo State, Mr. Frank Nneji has expressed his views about the internal wrangling currently going on in the  APC as a result of their recent congresses.
He said the wrangling, which is the result of the clash of selfish interests, was diversionary, and urged Imo people to maintain their resolve to vote the APC government out in next year’s elections
Mr Nneji pointed out that what was happening in the APC in Imo state was a consequence of the hardship and penury the policies and style  of the governance of the party had put the people of the state into, adding that it was just nemesis catching up with them.
The APGA aspirant who said he was not surprised at the controversy trailing APC congresses, not just in Imo state but all over the federation , because the party lacked internal democracy and its leaders were not really interested in serving the people, predicted that an  APGA victory in next year’s elections in the state would drive APC into extinction.
He expressed surprise that a party as big as the APC could not conduct ordinary Ward, Local Government and State congresses in a manner that conforms to democratic tenets
Mr Nneji reiterated that the ridiculous’ fight for the soul of Imo’ going on in the APC was not in the  interest of Imo people and wondered what the people stood to gain from it at the end of the day since the gladiators were collectively responsible for putting Imo state in the mess that it is in today.
” Will this fight put food on people’s tables? Will it create jobs for the large number of unemployed Imo youths in the state?  Will it settle the huge Pension arrears? Will it lead to civil servants in the state being paid their full salaries? Will it reposition our broken down health sector for efficient and effective health delivery?”, he asked.
Mr Nneji said the APC has not in any way shown that it was ready to address these issues and called on the people of Imo state to vote APGA in 2019 to experience improvement in their lives and circumstances.
