An Academician and Physician Dr. Philip Njemanze a governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has stated that his government will be based on the 3Rs which will be to rebuild the state for a better Imo.
Speaking to journalists in his office, Dr. Njemanze, assured that he will rehabilitate Imo people by paying all workers, pensioners, contractors 100% of their wages, contracts and emoluments and as well, restore the rule of law and supremacy of constitutional rights and above all, renew the state by rebuilding the crumbled infrastructure which will be achieved by (IGBO) programme which stands for “Innovation, Governance with Brilliant Originality.
The guber aspirant explained that his motivation is due to the fact that the state is a total mess as that last 7 years of Owelle led administration has been a total destruction of all the civil gains, adding that Imo people are going through the pains of the civil war in peace time.
He expressed displeasure that there is no rule of law as the constitution has been virtually suspended, no respect for human right in Imo state today, no respect for human dignity, no right to property, no right to basic religious belief and freedom and frowned that a tolitarian anarchy situation has been imposed on Imolites as Imo people are now seeing themselves as Israelites that need God to send a Moses for deliverance.
Still Speaking, the Medical Practitioner cum politician noted that from the regressive of Civilian and Military administration of the past, the economic cost in the past 7 years has risen to 3.5 trillion and there is hunger, panic, confusion and hopelessness in the land.
The aspirant assured that his government will do extensive development of infrastructure, power renewal, solar energy as plant will be built for 24 hrs in the state which will be called Okigwe Solar Power Project built by Nigerian engineers in collaboration with Chinese engineers working on One Belt, One Road Initiative (OBOR).
He will build the Imo Ring Project that will go to all the LGA’S for the transportation of goods and services, build the Oguta Olympic Village and also, make sports as a business for the youths, build the Orlu International free Trade Zone for modern facilities, build the Ehime/lsiala Mbano Agro Technical development area to mechanize Agriculture, build the Owerri Cultural Heritage City to promote Owerri as a UNESCO World Heritage City.
He further assured Imolites that the roads and public facilities will be reconstructed and the city will return back to its international standard, and also, build the Ohaji/Egbema Petro Chemical Industry stressing, that the Imo apprenticeship programme and small business administration will create 100,000 jobs within the next 2 years.
The Imo Innovation center will assure development of all innovations and patterns by Imo people, adding that under Njemanze administration, criminals will have no place to hide as Imo security alert system will raise alarm with overhead drones, showing visuals at the crime scene within minutes of any report.
He disclosed that most of the contestants are fronting members in Owelle’s team who have been sent by the present government with resources to block any aspiring candidate in all the major parties and urged Imo people to be aware of it and ensure that their tricks fail.
He thereby, reminded Imo people that this is the time for all good men and women to rise and save our state and the nation at large and as well, enjoined the people to get their PVC and be vigilant because, the new Imo has risen for the greater prosperity of the people come 2019.
