Orioha joins Oru East Assembly race

Sir, Louis Orioha has declared his interest to contest for Oru East Assembly seat under the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.

The Banker turned politician made the declaration in his ward Awo-Omamma Ward I held at Isieke; Awo-Omamma Oru East LGA. Addressing party faithful and his supporters at the event, Orioha noted that there is hunger in Oru East and the people needed industries to work.

He further disclosed that he decided to join the race so as to bring quality representation to his people, which he said will be based on integrity, accountability and transparency.

Continuing, the Assembly hopeful said “I want to go there to bring the deserved change for Oru East, I want my people to feel the dividends of democracy. I’m not going there to be a sleeping lawmaker, I am going to liberate my people so that we can have a new order in Imo State” Orioha said. The APGA Chieftain further posited that his aspiration is to be a ranking member in the House so that his impact can be felt.

In their separate remarks, the Oru/Orlu Zonal APGA Youth leader Nze Jeff Ikeagwu, lauded the new entrant and stressed on the need for people to get their permanent Voters Card.

Contributing, a leader in the Party Nze Vitalis Iheakanwa told the Assembly hopeful that it is not going to be an easy task and however urged him to be courageous, adding that he saw the quality in him.

Emeka Ughamba in his remarks, urged the people to support him, revealing that as a banker, he left his foot prints in the sand of time. Also speaking, Mr. Emeka Igwe noted that there is nothing impossible to achieve and urged him to put God first, in all his dealings.

Concluding, the APGA Chairman for Awo-Omamma Ward I, Chief Elvis Ihuarulam thanked all for coming and seemingly stressed on the need to acquire Permanent Voters Cards.
