2019: APGA vows to stop PDP in Abia

The National Deputy Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Engr. Uchenna Okogbuo has stated that the party will win Abia state in 2019 elections. He stated this when he was interacting with journalists in Umuahia. He said that Abia state has become a tentative victim of political victimization since 1999 in the hands of the PDP.
In the build up to the 2019 general elections in the country. Engr. Okogbuo commended the members of the party in the state for their cordial relationship among themselves. He also called on the people of the state to support any move by the party, aimed at bringing APGA party to power in the state come 2019.
The Deputy National Chairman, argued that what the state needs now is unity, peace, development, infrastructure, payment of salaries to workers, teachers, Local Government staffs, pensioners etc.
He insisted that all the things that are lacked in the state will be seen if APGA takes over the State Government house in 2019.
He stated that, the 2015 governorship election in Abia State was won by APGA and regretted the attitude of the then INEC in the state which decided to compromise with the state PDP and did what was wrong in the eyes of God, because of the federal might then. He appeal led to the new state INEC not to compromise in 2019 general election in the state, but to allow the people’s vote to count.
The Deputy National Chairman also stated that APGA is not like PDP and others that do not believe in democracy. APGA as a party believes in the party constitution, that is why it  does better in any state it is in charge, like in Anambra state where the Governor is not owing any salary, as all the workers receive their salaries as at when due including pensioners, teachers and Local Government staff, without bailout fund.
APGA always insist on primary election and is the only way they expect their candidates to emerge, and not through god-fatherism as been done by the PDP and called on Abians not to allow PDP to continue deceiving them.
The APGA deputy national chairman further said that the clear evidence of the PDP failure in the state is God-fatherism and advice Abians to vote out PDP in 2019 general election and vote in a rightful candidate that will emerge from APGA through primaries.
He further said that APGA as a party has credible manifestoes to implement in the state that will be of benefit to Abians, if voted in, even as he advise Abians not to vote  for APC or PDP that has so many members who steal public money and never solve any problem confronting the state.
