2019 Poll: I am best for Imo governorship – Oparandudu …My experience, blueprint will change Imo

Mr Nick Oparandudu, one of the foremost technocrats angling to takeover Imo seat of power from Gov Rochas Okorocha in 2019 has gave reasons why he is best for the seat.

Mr Oparandudu who spoke to journalists in Owerri recently on his ambition posited that he decided to join the race because his professional expertise and roadmap would change the Imo narrative if elected.

The ex commissioner for Internal Resources and Pension Matters, Commissioner for Economic Planning and Chief Economic Adviser to Gov Rochas Okorocha while shedding light on his claim of being the best material for governorship stated that he stands shoulders and heads above other contenders because    of his nearly three decade experience in the financial sector of the country’s economy.

According to him his journey in the banking saw him rise through the ranks to reach the pinnacle of the sector before he bowed out meritoriously as a deputy managing director.

He pointed out that he garnered an intimidating baggage of experience which he deployed in conjunction with other management staff of the bank to transform its fortune and grow it into one of the topmost banks in the country.

Mr Oparandudu explained that he has studied the problems and challenges confronting the state adding that what was needed ro change the fortune of the state is good leadership with good blueprint.

The APGA governorship hopeful disclosed that he has develop a master blueprint which would focus attention on agriculture and industrialization pointing out that wirh the states comparative advantages in these areas in terms of population, arable land and clement weather the has no reason to be poor.

He noted that Kebbi State which is now among top rice producers in the country in under three years of the present adminstration adopted exactly the same strategies he had developed for agriculture in the state.

Mr Oparandudu made a passionate appeal to Imolites to support his aspiration as what the state needs in 2019 is a technocrat and proven professional like him just as states like Anambra, Lagos, Akwa Ibom and Enugu have done.

The Emekuku born technocrat and adninstrator assured the people of Imo state that wirh their support the myriad of socio economic and political challenges in the state would be seriously tackled and eliminated once he assumes office as governor in 2019.
