…As Akabor vow not to vote him

A row was averted by display of political maturity and trait of leadership integrity as Chief Felix diga (JAFAC) the Accord Party candidate for Orlu Senatorial Zone ignored the provocative intrusion of Senator Osita unaso, the ABC Sciatoriaf candidate, who arled, his (Idiga) campaign train to Akabor in Oggia CA of Imo State, disrupting his ward to ward rally causing a fuss in the community.

It was gathered that Senator Osita Izunaso and his group arrived Akabor Community square where Chief Idiga was holding rally, blaring “his siren and chanting APC’s jingles and throwing fliers, T-shirts, hand bills and other APC campaign materials to the people with the intent of disrupting the rally and dispersing the people.

This causing unhealthy atmosphere that would have resulted in an open confrontation between the candidates, and even their security aides, but for the maturity with which Chief Idiga handled the situation. Speaking to newsmen on the ungentlemanly conduct of the erstwhile senator, the director planning and statistics in JAFAC Campaign Organization, Hon Kingsley Ejimadu described the action of Osita Izunaso as a sign of irresponsibility and utter display of a man in desperation to get power, adding that the APC candidate has, sown a seed of discord by that irrational behavior which ought not to have come from a man who is begging for people’s mandate. He averred that his principal, Chief Idiga (JAPAC) was cerebral in, handling the situation which he said would not have been tolerated by other parties or their supporters, and thanked Chief Idiga for showing Senator Izunaso how to respect the honour attached to a distinguished senator of the Federal Republic.

The people swore not to give him a vote in Akabor, even as they maintained that his being under Governor Rochas Okorocha would not help him win senate election in entire Oguta LGA.

Earlier in the week, Chief Idiga commenced the grading of the road leading to Izunaso’s village, which the people in the area had cried out for help without getting anything from their own son in government.
