The Board of Trustees, Advisory Board, Executive Council and the entire members of the Okigwe Global Elders Forum ,OKGEF, in conjunction with the people of Okigwe Senatorial Zone invite members of the public to its annual Iri ji/Ahiajoku celebration taking place on Saturday ,October 18, at Umuelemai Township Stadium, Isiala Mbano LGA in Imo state..
In a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, HRM, Eze Oliver Ohanwe , Dr.Mike C. Anyeze , Secretary and its Spokesperson, Prof.Dede Konkwo informed that the cultural event is a time honoured tradition specially set aside for New Yam Celebration,an event that unifies the people.
The release further informed that the event will attract dignitaries, cultural troupes, traditional leaders, and guests from across Nigeria and diaspora.
“Come and experience the beauty, pride, and unity of the Okigwe people through traditional music, dance, cuisine, and the symbolic “Iwa Ji/Ahiajoku Okigwe,” the release stated.
