Revealed: Alleged London meeting with Ihedioha, Reason For Ogbuagu’s Removal As IMHA MaJority Leader …His removal, in order says Duru …As Onyemaechi takes over

Impeccable information at the disposal of Nigeria Newspoint revealed that contrary to claims by Imo House of Assembly APC Caucus that the House Majority Leader, Hon.Uche Ogbuagu, Member representing Ikeduru State Constituency’s removal was a  normal legislative routine, he was removed over his alleged London meeting with Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.

As squealed by our very reliable source, Hon Ogbuagu and the former Gov Ihedioha met and held a closed door meeting recently in overseas but, somehow the present government in the state got wind of the said top secret parley.

And on the strength of the intelligence at its disposal the Gov Hope Uzodinma was said to have summoned the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House and gave them marching orders to sack Hon Ogbuagu as Majority Leader.

The Speaker, Hon Paul Emeziem read the outcome of the meeting where Hon Ogbuagu’s

removal was signed and sealed  during the plenary of Thursday, March 4.

Speaking to House of Assembly Correspondents after the plenary, the House Committee Chairman on information,Hon.Duru Iheonukwuru stated that the removal of the House majority leader was in order as long as legislative proceedings is concerned

He declared that the action has no political undertone or has anything to do with incompetence or mediocrity on the side of the removed Lawmaker.

“What happened today (yesterday)has nothing to do with politics, it is just a natural phenomenon in every parliament.You must expect changes like this.It is just a privilege for some one to occupy executive position in the House.As a committee chairman on information, I can be removed at any time if the need arises.” He enthused.

The Ideato South Constituency lawmaker further disclosed that no lawmaker is bigger than the House, that what ever the majority of the House decide stands, adding that the House needed some changes and they have taken place.”

He used the opportunity to advise the new Majority Leader, Hon. Kanayo Dele Onyemaechi to be proactive and look inward to see where his predecessor did not do well.

Meanwhile, the just removed majority leader Hon.Uche Ogbuagu when prodded by Journalists on the issue insisted that there was no cause for alarm,stressing that one is not supposed to join issues on everything.

The House adjourned sitting to Tuesday, March 9.
