Free at last: Abducted Appeal Court Justice-Iheme released by kidnappers …Spent 15 days in kidnappers dungeon

At last, freedom of Hon. Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme of the Court of Appeal, Benin Division, who was kidnapped by some unknown gunmen along Benin-Agbor Road, Edo State, on October 30; she regained her freedom, Wednesday night, November 13, 2019.
Details of the release and what really happened is yet to be made official and public.
Nigeria Newspoint recalls that the Appeal Court Judge was kidnapped on her way to Benin on her official duty, while her police orderly accompanying her, Inspector A. I. Momoh, was shot and killed by the gunmen before taking her away.
The driver of the vehicle was equally seriously injured during the abduction.
The four gunmen, it was gathered trailed Justice Nwosu-Iheme’s car from Ramat Park end of the Benin-Agbor Road in their Toyota Voltron and blocked her vehicle around Christ Chosen Church of God International.
Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme, became so much popular after handling the Otokoto Hotel ritual killings in Imo State more than 20 years ago.
An eye witness report had disclosed that a Toyota Voltron car made up of four unknown gunmen suddenly overtook the Judge’s car and immediately opened fire, killing the police orderly on the spot.
They were said to have then shot a tyre of the jeep forcing the driver to stop. The female judge was hurriedly whisked in to the hoodlums’ car where she was taken to unknown destination
Justice Nwosu-Iheme has a Ph.D in law and she is the first female judge in Nigeria to read Law up to Ph.D level in the field of ‘Law of Intellectual Property’.
