Ngor Okpala youths laud Ihedioha over Opara’s NURTW Chairmanship …Say: Ihedioha, S/E most youth friendly governor

Youths of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, Imo State have poured encomiums on the Imo state governor, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha for finding one of them, Comrade Alvan Opara, worthy to be trusted with a sensitive position as chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW in the state.
The youths who spoke under the umbrella of coalition of youth associations in the council, also declared that the governor has by that singular masterstroke grabbed the the honour of the most youth friendly governor in the South East, stressing that with the gesture they are now more charged and motivated to work with the Rebuild Adminstration.
Comrades Henry Uzoma, Ogbako Ngor Okpala Youth and Ikechukwu Nworgu, Association of Ngor Okpala Youth Ambassadors, who addressed the press at the local government headquarters Umuneke, on Thursday, on the issue pointed out that the youths were particularly excited because the governor appointed a youth who is not only competent but also a core grassroots youth leader and mobilizer.
According to them Comrade Opara is one of the Youth leaders in the area that have done so much to change the fortunes of youths in the council through his consistent advocacy for their socio economic and political empowerment, stressing that with his present elevation the struggle to better the lot of youths in the LGA and state has yielded another dividend.
They noted that the governor have in the five months of his adminstration demonstrated the will power to truly rebuild the state going by the calibre of his appointees as demonstrated by the recent election of the new chairman of the state council of NURTW, adding that they are confident that he will successfully rebuild the state.
While stressing that then choice of Comrade Opara is another glaring proof of the interest the governor has in building the youths into leaders that can make the state and nation proud, the youth leaders declared that they strongly believe that the new NURTW chairman will not betray the trust reposed in him
According to them their confidence in his ability to do the union and state proud was borne out of the fact that he has the requisite experience, capacity and pedigree steering the union in state required.
The spokesmen added that aside his proven capacity, the new transport boss is a consummate team player, a trusted unionist and dogged fighter who is ever willing to make sacrifices for the growth and development of the union and youths of the state, adding that these rare attributes are reason members of union repose so much trust and confidence in him
They reiterated their gratitude to the governor for once again demonstrating love for the council with the latest appointment assuring him of the total, unalloyed and undiluted loyalty and support of the good people of the council area.
