Ihedioha scores another goal, as African Import-export Bank berths in Imo …Invests $50m dollars in Africa quality assurance centre

The Africa Export Import Bank ( Afreximbank) has identified Imo State for the development of an internationally accredited quality assurance facility under the brand name of Africa Quality Assurance Centre ( AQAC).
This was conveyed in a letter from Prof. Benedict O. Oramah, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Afreximbank.
The proposed Firty Million dollars ( 50,000,000.00) investment will provide testing certification and inspection services to key sectors such as food, agriculture, pharmaceutical and light manufacturing to incresse export of goods to other African and International markets.
The centre will also provide capacity building and training in relation to conformity assessments.
The Afreximbank has requested for fifteen ( 15 ) hectares of land for the development of the facility in Imo State.
Meanwhile, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has accepted the request for land provision and has directed the Imo State Commissioner for Land, to do the needful.
