ORLU Senate: Okorocha weeps as judge abandons Certificate of Return suit …Uzodinma,Izunaso,Onyereri vow to stop him

Imo State Governor,Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha is   said to have wept uncontrollably in Imo Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja following the abandonment of the suit he instituted against the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The embattled governor had dragged the electoral umpire-INEC to court over the non issuance of his Certificate of Return CoR, as purported winner of the controversy riddled Orlu Zone Senatorial election held on February 23,2019.

But, following allegations of bias levelled against the presiding judge by the PDP candidate, Hon Jones Onyereri which forced the judge to take the honourable path of disqualifying himself from the matter pending investigation.

Sources close to Imo State government revealed that no sooner had the bad news filtered into the governors ears than he had  broke down and sobbed profusely.

The out going Governor was also reported to have complained loudly to his close aides who were with him at that time alleging that the problems he is facing currently are being masterminded by his enemies in the ruling APC.

It was learnt that the governor has  in fhe aftermath of that judicial jolt commenced another round of high powered lobbying in Abuja ostensibly to get the top echelon of the party to help extricate him from the CoR mess which has given him sleepless nights.

In a related development, leaders of Orlu Zone across party lines have ganged up against the senatorial ambition of the outgoing governor who they dubbed common enemy of the people.

It was learnt that Senators Hope Uzodinma, Osita Izunaso and Hon Onyereri have agreed to work together to ensure the governor is roundly defeated and disgraced out of the state political landscape.
