Araraume condemns demolition of Okafor’s Osemoto country home …Says:It is politics of violence taken very far

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Imo State, Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume has condemned in very strong terms, the recent demolition of the country home of Chief Henry Okafor, a former aide of Governor Rochas Okorocha who is currently running for Ohaji/Egbema/Oru West/Oguta House of Representatives seat on the platform of APGA.
Sen. Araraume who described the action as barbaric and anti democratic, also said the demolition of a man’s building in his own home town and village, tantamounts to politics of violence stretched too far.
A one-storey mansion at Osemoto, Oguta Local Government Area, belonging to Chief Okafor who was the chairman of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Commission ISOPADEC, was reportedly demolished by persons suspected to be his political opponents.
Recall that Okafor dumped Governor Okorocha to settle for APGA in order to pursue his ambition to represent Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta-Oru West Federal constituency in the National Assembly after he was believed to have sensed that Okorocha had apparently shifted support to his Deputy Chief of Staff and henchman, Kingsley Uju from the same Ohaji/Egbema-Oguta axis of the Federal constituency.
Meanwhile Sen. Araraume has assured Imolites of his commitment to recover all stolen assets or properties belonging to Imo State if elected governor on March 2, 2019.
The Imo APGA governorship candidate said he would put some of such recovered stolen properties of the state to good use, donate some to charity and convert some of the buildings to museums. He assured that he would not go to the extent of demolishing any recovered asset of the state especially, buildings as that would amount to economic waste.
On the chances of his former political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, vis-à-vis the 2019 Imo governorship, Araraume opined that it was difficult for a candidate who is carrying a baggage of criminal allegations to win Imo governorship in 2019.
