2019 Guber: My mission is to revive Imo economy – Amuchie

Seasoned professional banker, financial management expert and leading governorship aspirant in Imo State under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Sir Stanley Amuchie has vowed to extensively redeem the fast dwindling economy of Imo State by fully applying his expertise in re-engineering, restructuring and recapitalizing the state government economic machinery for positive results.
Sir Stanley Amuchie, a bureaucrat and top flight banker by profession also assured that he would reposition the psyche of workers in the public sector for optimum performance by providing the necessary incentives that would arouse and re-awaken spirit of patriotism in every government employee.
Stanley Amuchie who was speaking at an interactive forum with former councilors and supervisors of Imo State in Owerri recently, said that if given the mandate to pilot the affairs of the state as its chief executive, he would tackle squarely, socio-economic problems militating against the welfare and happiness of people at the grassroots level.
The Aboh Mbaise-born financial management guru decried what he called poor quality education, faulty infrastructural development, terrible situation of joblessness and general frustration bedeviling indigenes of the state.
According to Stanley Amuchie, Imo people are no longer proud to be called Imo indigenes as good governance had for long, eluded the state just as proper leadership is not in place.
“I have undergone a process of learning in administration. I want to bring integrity, honesty and discipline to politics, particularly, as it concerns Imo State. Our people are no longer proud to be addressed as Imo people. This is a very sad development. As a financial management expert, I will restructure our indebtedness. Imo state has abundant resources but there has to be sincerity and honest of purpose in relating with one another”, he stated.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance governorship aspirant lamented that the economic resources of Imo State are simply going into private pockets, adding that there must be a change in leadership for the ugly situation to be reversed in the overall interest of the people.
Confirming Stanley Amuchie’s suitability for the number one political seat of Imo State, a versatile public opinion and current affairs analyst, Enyioha Chris Anyanwu described the governorship aspirant as a first class brain and the best among all the governorship aspirants in Imo State.
Responding, the co-ordinator of Imo former councilors and supervisors, Hon. Happiness Nwaogaraku said the former Councilors and supervisors who she described as the undisputable bedrock of the present day democratic governance across all states of the country would only support and work with an honest and genuine aspirant and one with a heart for the people.
Hon. Happiness Nwaogaraku charged all governorship and legislative houses aspirants to be honest and sincere in their electioneering campaigns to enable the electorate make the best of choice.
