Doris Akubuo floats NGO for rural development

The good people of Isu Njaba, Nwangele, Nkwerre Federal Constituency of Imo State, is blessed to have this great woman of substance, in the person of Hon Bar Doris Akubuo a reputed grassroot mobilizer, a legal luminary, notable women leader and a wonderful philanthropist in their midst.
Her vision towards the betterment of the lots of her constituents, led to her formation of her foundation known as Bar Doris Shelter foundation.
Hon. Bar Doris Akubuo in a chat with Nigeria Newspoint, maintained that her aim of setting up her foundation as a non-governmental organization (NGO) was in line with her cooperate social responsibility(CSR) agenda for her constituency, aimed majorly at the improvement of the general well-beings of her constituents especially in the areas of education, health, human empowerment & development. She reiterated her desire to touch their lives & make positive impacts on their standard of living.
According to her the foundation, which was launched on 29th December, 2017 has started fulfilling her mandate, by helping the less privileged, securing accommodation to the homeless, giving out interest free loans to women, providing free education scholarship to indigent pupils, providing medical aids to the sick, assisting the youths of her constituency with various economic packages and organizing workshops on human development via skill acquisition. Also that day she donated food stuffs such as bags of Rice, Tubers of Yam Cartons of Indomies.
She provided and cash gifts, motorcycles, rappers, and tomatoes to her constituency.
She pointed out that her selfless services to her constituents, has made a vast majority of them, to call for her service as their representative at the forthcoming national assembly election. According to them, her various services to her constituency is borne out of sincerity of purpose to deliver a quality service & offer a people oriented leadership to her constituency.
