Imo Guber: Araraume’s magic wand saves APC, Imo from Okorocha’s 3rd term plot-Nwosu

Going by what transpired at the recently held All Progressive Congress APC, stakeholders forum in Owerri, Imo State capital, excited party members are currently upbeat that at last the burning passion of Gov Rochas Okorocha to plant his in law as his successor may have been quenched.

Besides this, it is also been bandied by members of the party that the new lease of life being enjoyed by the party can be attributed to the doggedness and never say die spirit of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and other well meaning leaders of the party.

A chieftain of the party in the state Barr Emma Nwosu who made these assertions in an interview with journalists shortly after the stakeholders parley in Owerri expressed gratitude to the senator for standing firm for the party, and for justice, and rule of law stressing that his push may have woken up Gov Rochas Okorocha who he alleged abandoned the party since his second term victory.

According to him the party in the state as well as the members were like orphans before the recent positive turn of events courtesy of Senator Araraume and others like Senator Izunaso adding that what is happening now is just a tip of what would happen if he’s given the ticket of the party.

The legal luminary decried the way and manner the present government has been heating up the polity over what is generally perceived as third term for incumbent governor but expressed joy that their antics have been checkmated.

Continuing, Barr Nwosu pleaded with the leaders of the party to continue to be vigilant and watchful to prevent any underhand dealing that could rub off negatively on the party now and in the near future.

The Lawyer turned politician was also of the view that the State at large has finally breathed a sigh of relief from the onslaught of  Gov Okorocha.

He noted that with the way things stand today,Imolites may eventually exercise their constitutional power to choose who will govern them in 2019 rather than have somebody imposed on them, contrary to their wishes and interest.
