NLC honours ex- Imo NULGE boss

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Imo state chapter, last week, conferred an honorary award on the former Nigerian Union Of Local Government Employees, NULGE chairman, Comr. Ambrose Onuoha for his exceptional sterling qualities.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the conferment of the award of excellence in Unionists’ Leadership, Chairman of NLC in Imo state,Comr……Chilakpo said, that, Comr. Onuoha, also, the vice chairman of Imo NLC has distinguished himself in the service of the Labour Congress in the state,and the overall welfare of Imo workers.
According to the NLC boss, Comr. Onuoha was given the award by
NLC, considering his
landmark
achievements, notable among which was the building of a befitting secretariat for Imo NULGE, when he was the state chairman of NULGE, his immense support in the sustainability and progress of Imo NLC, together with his accountability and transparency of purpose in office, when he was chairman of NULGE, hence, the union never owed Imo NLC its dues and entitlements, as an integral part of the NLC.
Other reasons fo rwhich the NLC honoured Comr. Onuoha, was that, no local government workers in Imo state was sacked during Onuoha’s administration as NULGE boss, among other good antecedents of the ex-NULGE boss.
While appreciating the Imo NLC for founding him worthy of the honorary award, Onuoha, dedicated the award to all the NULGE executives who worked with him, and the entire Imo workers for their support and prayers.
He however, maintained that, he never regretted being a unionist, and promised to do more at any slightest opportunity.
