The foresight of Senator Hope Uzodinma evident in the emergence of Sir MacDonald Ebere as state chairman of Imo APC, in 2021 has no doubt, being a blessing for the party in the state.
A once crisis riden -party before Governor Uzodinma’s emergency in two years ago, has unarguably found its ridden culminating in a resounding electoral victory for APC in the just concluded Ngor Okpala state constituency bye -election.
Calm but focused, MacDonald has in a very short period, demonstrated
uncommon capacity in piloting the affairs of the great party.
Macdonald is working for the betterment of Imo APC and the state. His initiatives and programmes are aimed at nothing but the betterment of the party and Imo people. Essentially, he has taken the programmes of his party to the people to infuse confidence and readiness to win big in the 2023 general elections.
This is why pretenders and saboteurs within the party who are now leaving the party for smaller opposition party’s became very uncomfortable and jittery to function within the party. The realities created by Macdonald’s progressive leadership of the APC has made in-House opposition and anti-party politics of some highly placed members of the party almost impossible.
Today, patriotic members of APC are happy that the party has nursed its wounds and healed itself sufficiently to march forward to face the challenges of the coming state and General elections.
While the greatest kudos must go to the visionary leadership of the party by His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma, MacDonald also deserves a pat on the back for what the party has achieved so far, within in a very short period he has been in the saddle .
In this connect, the successful outing of Imo APC ably led by the governor, Sen Uzodinma with the unflinching support of the state chairman, Sir MacDonald Ebere, deserve to be celebrated.
These no mean feats by Imo APC under Sen Uzodinma as apex leader and Sir MacDonald Ebere as state chairman, in a short period of time, remain telltale signs of a bright future for the party in Imo especially, with the 2023 general elections barely one year ahead.
It is heartwarming that the candidates from Imo State APC under Gov Uzodinma’s dogged leadership and MacDonald’s unwavering support and dexterity, emerged victorious at the just concluded national convention of the party in Abuja.
There is no gain saying the fact that the stability of APC as the ruling party in the state, will invariably culminate in good governance of Imo State.
It is therefore incumbent on all leaders and faithful of the party in Imo to stand solidly behind the Sen Uzodinma and the state chairman as the party prepares for the all-important general elections of 2023.
