Fed. Poly Nekede Rector, Arimanwa Ordained Anglican Canon

Rector Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Engr. Dr. Micheal Arimanwa on Sunday 28th March, 2021 was installed as a Canon of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion by the Owerri Anglican Diocese, Bishop, Rt. Rev. Chukwuma Chinekezi Oparah amidst celebrations.

The installation which attracted Staff and Students of the best ranked Polytechnic amongst clergy from all walks of life and friends was held at the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord (CATOL), Owerri.

Charging them to be Christ ambassadors and always be conscious of the fact that their duties as men of God come with lots of challenges, Bishop Chukwuma Opara reminded them that they were called for great purposes as such, they were expected to leave to their preaching. He expressed happiness that the church has continued to place its piroity in making sure that Christians leave by God’s principles hence everyone, was on a journey in this world and after which everlasting life either in heveab or hell.

The Bishop who offered special prayers for the newly installed Canons and Venerables assured them that God will continue to promote them even as he advised them not to let the church down through their actions and way of life.

Expressing gratitude to God for granting him the privilege to continue to serve in His vineyard, Conon Michael Arimanwa who doubles as the Rector Federal Polytechnic Nekede, posited that the elevation was yet another opportunity for him to continue to win more souls for God.

He stated while fielding questions from newsmen that his new status will give him more courage to stand for what is right before God and man even as he used the medium to appreciate all who came to felicitate him and prayed God to reward them.

The event was well attended by students and staff of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede who expressed gratitude to God for elevating their ever-working-well Rector.
