Imolites, Clerics snub Okorocha at new Anglican Bishop’s enthronement “His presence reminds me of my set back -Trader”

The declining fortunes which have hit Imo State Governor,Rochas Anayo Okorocha, particularly in his political career seem to be spreading to other areas including the church of God, especially with the reoported snubbing of the governor at the enthronement of the new Anglican Bishop of Owerri Diocese, recently.
The governor according to eyewitness account was among the political heavyweights in the state who graced the occasion of the enthronement of Rt Rev Chukwuma Chinekezi Oparah, but shockingly unlike in the past his coming and departure almost went unnoticed.
Rather than welcoming smiles and perhaps, suppressed chants of “Owelle, “Owelle ” which usually heralded him in the good old days, it was learnt that people in the congregation were rather jeering at him in hushed tones.
To worsen an already unfriendly atmosphere the governor was also like every other politician present not allowed to speak on the occasion although church sources told this disclosed that the decision not to allow politicians to speak was to prevent the occasion from being turned into a political rally.
So, it was a near unnoticed Gov Okorocha that sneaked in and out of the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of our Lord, CATHOL, owerri, on Monday November 19, 2018 when Anglican Diocese of Owerri celebrated its new Bishop.
Nigeria Newspoint further gathered that many Clerics and Christian faithful sighed and moaned at the sight of the Governor who they lamented has brought untold hardship and poverty on them.
A trader who spoke under anonymity berated Rochas for throwing her and many other Imo women out if their businesses.
