Imo Assembly: Isu leaders drum support for Uzoma

Ahead of the 2019 polls, no fewer than fifteen (15) organized youths and socio-cultural unions in Isu Local Government Area have drummed support for Ambassador Oluchi Uzoma for Isu State Constituency seat in the Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA. Ambassador Uzoma is seeking the people’s mandate under the All Progressives Congress, APC, and has an edge over others judging from realities on ground, report says.
Information reaching newsmen revealed that opinion leaders and king makers in the area have concluded talks at caucus levels at home and in the diaspora, and across party lines, ruling on the candidature of Amb. Uzoma come 2019 elections. Isu people across party lines said Ambassador Uzoma has shown great activitism in human and material resources management over the years as a private sector man, and has used the position to impact positively on so many people, describing him as a reliable, accessible and charity-driven jolly good fellow who is full of energy and drive. In their separate solidarity messages, the Isunjaba Solidarity Union, (I. S. U) South Africa; Amurie Omanze Dev. Union, South Africa; Ebenator Ekwe Progressive Assembly, South Africa; and Amandugba Progressive Assembly, South Africa, lauded Uzoma for doing the needful by his House of Assembly Declaration, saying that he has unparalleled acceptance by all the who-is-who in Isu, and other party members other than APC. Similarly in their support massages, the UburuEkwe Dev. Union, South Africa; National Youth Council of Nigeria, Isu LGA; Old Isunjaba Four United Youths Assembly; the Gedegwum Youths and Isu LGA CGC Youths Forum, have described Amb. Uzoma’s Assembly bid as a welcomed development, saying he has carved for himself a niche through his closeness to people and charity works.
The groups’ spokesmen said their organizations have sensitized the members and their families and neighbors on the need to update their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and the need to use same wisely at the appropriate time.
According to them, the 2019 polls will be a time for payback to people of goodwill like Amb. Uzoma who they said in his sweat and toil, has sponsored many Isu citizens to trips abroad and had stood by them until they get firmly established. They recalled that through his Support Organization, he has paid school fees and hospital bills to many youths in Isu, and has sponsored many for skills acquisition without political attachment.
Also, Women organizations in Isu local government are not left out in supporting Amb. Uzoma as they have offered series of prayer requests at churches wishing the youthful APC House of Assembly aspirant victory at the pools, recalling how he sponsored their August Meetings and other empowerments he doled out to Isu youths.
